We use Non-Essential Cookies to improve your experience, perform analytics, and serve relevant ads. Please select your Non-Essential Cookies preferences below. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file that may be stored in the browser you use to access MotorInc services, which enables features and functionality. It allows our website or app to "remember" your activity or preferences over a length of time or during a particular session. If you're signed in to MotorInc, cookies allow us to show you the right information and personalise your experience in accordance with your preferences.
In addition to cookies, we use similar technologies such as local storage and mobile analytics. Collectively, we refer to these technologies as "cookies" throughout this Cookie Policy.
Unless otherwise stated in this Cookie Policy, our Privacy Policy applies to the data we collect via cookies.
How does MotorInc use cookies?
We use session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary cookies that are not stored beyond the session in question. They are used for authentication and security purposes and to ensure the effective and necessary functioning of MotorInc. Persistent cookies are stored for a predetermined length of time and expire on a set date, or when they are deleted manually.
We classify our cookies into the following categories:
| Type | Classification | Description | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Strictly Necessary | These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the community, such as tracking a user session, or accessing secure areas. | Session cookie used to pin a logged-in session to a browser |
| 2 | Functional | These cookies are used to enhance the functionality of MotorInc's website and your user experience. | Cookie used to identify if fonts are loaded. |
| 3 | Performance | These cookies are used to collect and analyze information about how users use the website, including information about the pages users visit. | Cookie delivered by Google Analytics for purposes of aggregate reporting on page views |
| 4 | Tracking, targeting and sharing | These cookies remember that you've visited a website, a particular web page, and/or track your activities on the site. This information is sometimes shared with third party advertisers for serving targeted online advertising or other personalized content. | Cookie used to track visitor activity on an individual basis and can be used by third party business partners to serve personalized content and/or later aggregated and used to analyze website traffic and trends |
Essential Cookies
Essential Cookies are necessary for MotorInc to function and provide you with the services you've requested. We use them to:
- authenticate users,
- maintain your logged-in session,
- protect against unauthorised access, and
- remember your preferences.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
auth_token | Keeps you signed in | 24 hours |
refresh_token | Refreshes your session securely | 90 days |
You cannot decline these cookies because they are essential for the site to work.
Non-Essential Cookies
Non-Essential Cookies are, as their name implies, not strictly necessary for the functioning of the MotorInc site or app or for providing services you've requested from us. MotorInc uses Non-Essential Cookies, including third party cookies, to collect information on website and app usage in order to:
- understand and improve your experience,
- perform analytics,
- serve relevant ads, and
- to allow you to navigate our site and use its services and features, for example, when you sign up and login using a third-party account.
We further classify Non-Essential Cookies into the following categories: Functional, Performance, and Targeting.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies are cookies used to enhance how MotorInc's website works and your user experience — for example, to remember your preferences.
Performance Cookies
Performance Cookies help us learn how well our website and apps operate across different locations and identify any issues in the operation and provision of our products. We use Performance Cookies, including from third parties, to assist us in measuring and understanding how our products are used and how they can be optimized, as well as to perform business research and to inform targeted advertising. We may also receive other analytics information from these third parties.
We use the following cookies for performance, analytics and research purposes: Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and Firebase
Local Storage and Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage and session storage to support the functioning of the Services. These include:
| Key | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
device_id | Identifies your device for session management and security | Local storage (persistent) |
cookie-consent | Stores your cookie preference (accept or deny) | Local storage (persistent) |
| Session data | Temporary preferences such as dismissed prompts | Session storage (cleared on tab close) |
Session Replay
When you accept Non-Essential Cookies, we may record anonymised session replays to understand how users interact with the Services. All form inputs are automatically masked — we do not capture passwords, payment details, or other sensitive input. Session replays are processed on our own servers and are not shared with third parties.
Data Retention for Non-Essential Cookies
Analytics and performance data collected via Non-Essential Cookies is retained for up to 24 months. After this period, the data is permanently deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion of your analytics data at any time by contacting us at DPO@motorinc.com.
Targeting Cookies
Targeting cookies remember that you've visited a website, a particular web page, and/or track your activities on the site. This information may be shared with third party advertisers for serving targeted online advertising or other personalised content.
Managing and refusing the use of cookies
When you first visit our site, you will see a banner asking whether you would like to accept Non-Essential Cookies. If you click "Accept," we will use Non-Essential Cookies. If you click "Deny," we will not use Non-Essential Cookies.
You can change your preference at any time using the controls at the top of this page or the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer.
If you access MotorInc through our app, you may also control interest-based advertising on an iOS or Android device by selecting the "Limit Ad Tracking" option in the privacy section of the Settings App on iOS or via advertising preferences on Android-based devices (usually in the Google Settings app). This will not prevent you from seeing advertisements but will limit the use of device advertising identifiers to personalise ads based on your interests.
Most browsers allow you to choose whether you wish to accept cookies. Different browsers make different controls available to you and so we provide links below to popular browser instructions on how you can do this. Generally, your browser will offer you the choice to accept, refuse or delete all cookies, or third-party cookies on a website, or those from specific websites. However, if you restrict our capability to set cookies, you may limit the full functionality of MotorInc, which will make some of our services and features unavailable to you.
In some cases, you can manage or opt out of third-party cookies on a cookie-by-cookie basis. Learn more about how to manage these individual cookie settings and review their corresponding privacy policies by visiting the websites below:
